Easter

Everyone celebrates Easter. From the righteous to the unrighteous. From the Jew to the Ethiopian. Its a time for everyone to either reflect or briefly discuss the most controversial person there is; JESUS CHRIST. What then is Easter? Is it about the communion of ‘Do this in Remembrance in Me?’. Or possibly about watching the passion of the christ on Netflix? Maybe its about doing another play at church to draw more people to christ? None of these answers are wrong. But Easter is much more than that. Easter is really a celebration. A celebration of what was, and is and what is to come. Easter is a time to reflect and meditate on who God is. Easter is more than a 3 day feast, its a lifetime feast. I love what the apostle Paul says in Romans 5:8 ‘While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.’ Now that’s love! While we were sinners! That literally means that Christ also died for those who were shouting ‘CRUCIFY HIM!’ He died for the guards who kept slapping him around, spitting in his face and mocking him. He died for the high priest who tore his robe and slapped him when he said he wa God. He died for the one who denied him, he died for his disciples who deserted him when they came to arrest him. And He died for you and for me. That’s not where it ends. Not only did Christ died for you, but he died for you sins too! That was the purpose of him dying a humiliated death (back then, a crucified death was the most humiliating). But get this, He didn’t only die for the sins you’ve committed and the ones you’re doing right now. He even died for the ones you didn’t do yet! isn’t that amazing!!! Its like a Judge paying for all of your financial debt and future debt to the government by paying it all in full! crazy right? It wasn’t crazy for Jesus. He did it then and He is still doing it now. Interceding on our behalf. John 14:6 says ‘I am the truth, the way and the life, none can come to the father except through me.’ I don’t know your name, your background or your past. What I am sure of is that you’ve been traveling this road of life using an address whith no idea of where you’re going or how to get there. Why don’t you use God’s GPS Jesus? Trust me once you do, you will never be lost again.

Are you Satisfied?

You heard me. ARE YOU SATISFIED? I’m not referring to your sexual appetite or your physical appetite or any appetite. I am referring to your spiritual appetite. Before you jump in and say yes without using your brain, why don’t we take a ride to the other side? See when you’re in church with your hands lifted high, eyes shut filled with emotion. Noticed I said emotion and not selfless ness. There’s a difference between the two. When you’re selfless, you die everyday so that Christ can reign. Let me put it this way, when you give yourself to Christ and give him access to reign over you, everyday is a funeral. Your flesh dies, and every physical attachment stays in the tomb. But your spirit is risen to do what you flesh cannot do. So you’re standing in church, your emotions are running high and you give God your all. Knowing full well that you’re all is just good enough. As long as I do what my parents say NO PROBLEM! As long as I go to church NO PROBLEM! As long as my dad preaches the gospel while I’m fornicating in church NO PROBLEM! As long as I’m in the choir living a double life NO PROBLEM! As long as I walk up to the front again and again to receive that Emmy award for my performance on ‘gave my life to Christ’ starring the sinner NO PROBLEM! As long as my family is saved and we know for sure that we’re going to heaven NO PROBLEM! As long as the bible is sitting in my car while I make that drug deal NO PROBLEM! As long as I repent after I’ve fallen again to sin NO PROBLEM! As long as I contribute once a year to World Vision to the unfortunate NO PROBLEM! As long as I pray for change and never act upon it NO PROBLEM! As long as I lead in the pew and just do what is required of me NO PROBLEM! You have family that loves you, a church family praying you through, never confronting you. A man or woman that says ‘I love you’ yet with the same mouth curses God. You got a job, you driving that car; you can walk, talk and fart. Life is good, so why ruin it!

HYPOCRITES!!!!! You judge others but you’re the one on trial here! You shake your head while reading about the Pharisees and you’re dressed just like them!! You sigh when you see others use God’s name for selfish reasons, yet you do the same if not worse! You read God’s word everyday, but you only do so as you read any other book. Just read it to get it over with. The Pharisees didn’t care about the Gospel; they only cared about the law of Moses. Why? Because the law didn’t require much!! All you had to do is obey it!!! But with Christ things took a shift. See you don’t only have to obey the law; for Christ himself said that he didn’t come to abolish the law but to fulfill it. But you have to execute it as well!!! See God is the legislator that created the law. Jesus is the Executive that executed the law on the cross. We are a part of God’s administration and our Job is to make sure that those laws are executed even further!!! You might ask ‘well how do you do that?’ The same word you profess that you read everyday tells you exactly how to do that! Matt 28 is your V8 reminder. But see we have a bunch of agents who misuse their assignments or let other agents do their assignments for them. ‘Well I have stage fright so Sister Rose can lead service today.’ ‘I don’t have a beautiful voice like Sister Tasha so; she can go ahead and lead us in song.’ ‘I don’t even know how to speak, how am I going to preach for 10 let along 30 minutes!’ See these are the folks that God is going to say ‘I never knew you!!!’ your complacency and conformity has turned into the thorns in Jesus head. Your ignorance has turned into the spit on his face. Your stink attitude has turned into the whip on his back. So I ask again. ARE YOU SATISFIED that your neighbors are destined to hell, to spend eternity in torment, knowing that you have the source that can save them? ARE YOU SATISFIED knowing that your brother, father, mother, uncle, cousin are going to the club while you head to church? ARE YOU SATISFIED that there are young ladies @ your church who are drowning themselves in while you are clearly aware that you are the spiritual lifeguard that can save them? ARE YOU SATISFIED that people you encounter 24/7 are dying everyday in the vices of this world, while you go to your place of refuge on Sundays? If your are truly satisfied then enjoy life and let your conscience be the judge. But if you’re not, YOU KNOW WHAT YOU GOTTA DO. Be an agent for Christ. Need some agent mentors? You have One inside you, One above you, One around you, and One in front of you.

                                      The Question remains……..

ARE YOU SATISFIED?

Don’t take this and say it’s yours when you know you didn’t write it.

God is watching you…..

Stronger by Mandisa. I love that song! I can’t stop listening to it or singing it!

spiritualinspiration:

“…In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world” (John 16:33, NIV).
Every day, things come against us in life to try to steal our joy and rob us of our victory. In fact, throughout your whole life, the enemy has had one mission—to kill, steal and destroy your hope, vision and happiness. But I love what it says in today’s verse, “take heart.” In one translation it says, “Be of good cheer.” Now that may seem strange to say right after “in this world you will have trouble,” but when we truly understand that we are overcomers in Christ Jesus, we can be joyful no matter what the circumstances look like. We don’t have to allow our emotions to get rattled. We don’t have to let our nerves go haywire. We can find rest knowing that Jesus has overcome the world and deprived it of the power to harm us.
We have to remember; the things that happen in this life are temporary. We are in this world but not of it. We need to keep our focus on eternal things, things above. Sure, we will have trouble in this life, but we can stay encouraged because in eternity, we are overcomers through Christ Jesus!

Where You Go I Go -Kim Walker / Jesus Culture (by jesusculture)

Where you go, I go
What you say, I say
What you pray, I pray
What you pray, I pray

Verse 1:
Jesus only did what
He saw you do
He would only say what He heard you speak
He would only move when He felt you lead
Following your heart, following your spirit

How could I expect to walk without you
When every move that Jesus made was in surrender
I will not begin to live without you
For you alone are worthy
And you are always good

Bridge:
Though the world sees and soon forgets
We will not forget who you are and what you’ve done for us

Today I celebrated my Birth Day. And since its not Midnight yet, the celebration goes on. Today was different than the other birthdays. Its not only a celebration but its a prayer, a birthday prayer. My prayer is that God’s chosen assignment for me will be accomplished. My wish is that of Jesus Culture’s well known and consecrated songs. I will end this post with the lyrics. This is my birthday wish and it is also my new years resolution. Matter of fact this is my life’s creed, I live by it and I breathe through it. To God be the Glory.
